At Padma Yoga, I offer a range of weekly classes, alongside specialist short courses, workshops and retreats. Weekly classes are taught in levels, allowing you to develop your practice at a pace which is comfortable for you. This helps to avoid that awful feeling, when the person next to you moves effortlessly in to a pose you've never even heard of!
Before you begin, it’s good to think about what you want from a yoga practice. Is it to learn more about your body... to help alleviate stress, anxiety or depression... to meet new people... to address particular physical imbalances or injury... to learn to meditate... to learn more about yourself... to help manage a chronic health condition? There are any number of reasons, each equally valid. Whatever you're looking for, yoga has a huge amount to offer and as our lives change and grow, so will our yoga practice.
If you're new to yoga, you're welcome to attend a drop-in class before committing to a class pass. I usually recommend attending a class for a minimum of 6-8 weeks to get a feel for whether it's something you want to continue with. The effects of the practice can be quite subtle, so it can take time to feel the benefits. Sometimes we don't notice the change until we take a break!
